and..............


NONE of them are authentic.
yay.

Antik Denim is not even THAT popular (as compared to True Religion and Seven for All Mankind) but is one of the most heavily faked jeans.

On one of the auctions, the stock photo* given was:



*Stock photo meaning photos taken(or rather, stolen) from reputable online merchants like revolveclothing.com. They are stolen because they look better not only because they are on beautiful models and most importantly, because they are AUTHENTIC.


SO RULE NUMBER ONE IS::

When the auction only has STOCK PHOTOS, that's a looooouuuuuddddd alarm ringing.
If you THINK your 6th sense is telling you otherwise, please message the seller and get REAL LIFE photos.

And when you ask for photos, ask for specific views such as close-up on back pockets, inner tags or even buttons , so you can be sure the seller has these jeans at hand and not STEAL more photos of authentic ones to mislead you.

see the awful fabric? without even feeling it, you know it's cheap and of low quality. Antik denim has the softest feel around (yes, even softer than True Religion even though it irks me to publicly acknowledge that).

Next, look at the disgusting wash. They look as though they have been scraped by some sanding machine.

I don't even want to talk about those back pockets.

There are way too many FAKE premium denim out there on ebay , yahoo auctions and so-called supplier sprees.

"100% Authentic" , these words incensed me.

Therefore, this led to the birth of this blog.

To educate people on the authenticity of premium denim,

So no one spends hundreds of dollars on FAKE, AWFUL, REVOLTING, ABOMINABLE jeans.

So those equally REPULSIVE sellers (who are privy to the fact that the jeans they are selling are fake) can sleep in their piles of fake jeans because no one is buying them.
